HENLEY Town made it six wins from six in their Reading & District League Division Three East campaign with a 9-1 mauling of Loddon Valley Rangers, writes Richard Ashton.

Aaron Finch led the way by scoring four times, while Jack Beales (two) and Dan Hayden – who netted with a bullet header – were among the other goalscorers.

Reading United remain top on goal difference having played a game more than Henley, and they were in ruthless form with a 14-1 annihilation of 116 Exiles Reserves on Sunday.

Third-placed Park Villa overcame Coley Park 2-1 in a tight affair.

In the Senior Division, table-topping The Tilehurst Club were gifted another three points as Burghfield conceded their game, but Dee Road Rangers remain just three points behind them after thrashing Emmer Green 8-2. Defending champions Reading Irish remain unbeaten after five games following a 6-2 triumph at Whitley Tavern, while Southcote won 3-1 at Kidmore End/The Mod.

Barton Rovers continue to dominate the Premier Division as a 5-0 thumping of The County gave them a sixth straight win.

Purley crushed Kidmore End/The Mod Reserves 5-1, Richfield Rovers Reserves edged out Mortimer 4-3, and Ghana Stars earned a first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Woodley Wanderers.

Le Galaxy go from strength to strength in Division One, recording an astonishing 15-0 rout of SC United for a seventh straight success.

Eldon Celtic won a nine-goal thriller 6-3 at Spencers Wood, while Woodley United suffered a second consecutive defeat, losing 4-3 to Polonia Reading.

AFC Burghfield lost 3-2 at 116 Exiles, and FC Woodley drew 3-3 with Athletico Forest.

Falcon Theale went top of the Division Two table as they beat former leaders Loxwood 3-2.

Lox found themselves a goal down after 20 minutes before captain Michael Flatman headed home an equaliser, but the visitors were back in front early in the second half.

An own goal by Falcon gave Loxwood brief hope before a goalkeeping error gifted the Theale side the points, Jake Giles the only Lox player to emerge with credit.

Third-placed WS Hobnob won 4-2 at Imaan, Caversham AFC cruised to a 5-2 success at Wokingham & Emmbrook, Arborfield drew 2-2 with Charvil Rangers and Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians played out a 0-0 stalemate with AFC Burghfield Reserves.

The top two in Division Three West – AFC Basildon and Woolhampton CFC – could not be split as they shared the spoils 3-3, allowing YPFC to close within a point after their 3-2 success at Southbank.

Strugglers Mortimer Reserves lost 4-1 at home to Theale while Tilehurst Club A hammered Whitley Athletic 6-2.

AFC Lowfield Green moved seven points clear at the top of Division Four East following an 8-1 dismissal of Caversham United.

Borussia Teeth defeated Six Bells 3-2, Delta Vigo eased past Shinfield Rangers 4-1 and Fox & Hounds drew 2-2 with South Reading.

In Division Four West, leaders Southcote Colts made it five wins from six with a comfortable 3-1 victory at New England.

AFC Pangbourne Reserves crushed Burghfield Reserves 6-0, while Englefield drew 1-1 with basement boys The Bugle.
