PEPPARD Stoke Row continue to set the pace in the Premier Division after a seven-wicket win away at Crowthorne & Crown Wood.

Joe Davies made 39 as the home team were skittled for 83 after five balls of the 23rd over.

Matt Hopper was the destroyer-in-chief with his figures of 5-39.

Peppard Stoke Row cruised to the win on 84-3 in 20.5 overs with Fergus Nutt making 28 at the top of the order. Jeff Cluett took 2-14 for the losing side.

West Reading remain second in the table after they beat Woodley by four wickets.

Woodley posted a total of 250-8 from 45 overs with Usman Ghani Asif (63*) and Reyhan-Ul Din (57) the leading batsman. Sultan Khan claimed 3-62 for the away team.

In response, Wests managed 253-6 after 36.1 overs for the win. Taskeen Ahmed came close to a century with 95 while Rahim Khan added 53. Kashif Ali finished with figures of 3-75.

Sulhamstead & Ufton had to make do with a winning draw at home to second from bottom Mortimer West End.

Batting first, Sulhamstead reached 201-8 from their allotted 45 overs with Jamie Seward (47) and Chris Mercer (43) coming close to a half-century.

Ken Allsobrook was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 4-33.

Mortimer made 162-5 after 45 overs in reply. Steve Audsley top-scored with 56 while Rameshkumar Ramasamy took 2-35.

Fourth in the table Woodcote beat Emmbrook & Bearwood by 82 runs thanks largely to 51 by Micky Molloy and 3-10 from JP Brouard.

Woodcote totalled 190 all out from 42 overs with Jez Mayo making 47. Sean Woodward was the leading wicket taker for Emmbrook with his 4-21.

In response, the visiting team were skittled for just 108 after 34 overs. Josh Smart led the batting with 23, whilst Zaheer Ahmed (3-40) and Ryan van Heerden (2-4) supported Brouard with the ball.

In the other Premier Division  fixture, Ruislip Victoria registered a winning draw away at Welford Park.

Ruislip batted first and reached 211-9 from the allotted 45 overs. Puneet Kapoor (50) and Kashif Mann (49) top scored whilst Will Herrington (5-27) claimed a five-wicket haul.

Herrington (77) and captain Ben Myers (66) provided the backbone to Welford’s total of 210-5 after 45 overs in reply. Vijay Srinivasan took 4-42 for the visitors.

Berkshire County Sports remain top in Division One following a three-wicket home win over Sulhamstead & Ufton 2nds.

Saqib Hussain claimed five  wickets (5-30) as Sulhamstead closed on 118-9 from 43 overs. Opening batsman Tim Benham top scored with 22.

In response, Berkshire raced to 120-7 in the 30th over with Tahir Nawaz short of a half-century with 46. Andy Rosier (2-12 was the leading bowler.

Sandhurst sit second in the table after their 156-run home win against Surrey-based Hawley.

Adam Birch (134*) was the star in Sandhurst’s total of 249-6.

Peppard Stoke Row 2nds closed the gap on runaway Division Two leaders Farley Hill on Saturday with a 192-run home win against Crowthorne & Crown Wood 2nds.

Paddy Hennessy was the star on show for Peppard with an unbeaten innings of 127 from 123 balls which included 11 fours and two sixes.

Gerry Bacon narrowly missed out on a half-century with 49 and Dominic Hall made 43.

Dan Finucane was the pick of the visiting bowlers with his figures of 1-46.

Crows were bowled out for just 84 in response in 26.4 overs. Simon Sheppard (23) and Nirav Upadhyay (16) were the only batsman to reach double figures.

Ian Jackson was the chief destroyer for Peppard with figures of 4-35. He was supported by Harry Jordan (3-7) and Olly Nicholson (2-19).

Shinfield remain third in the table following their four-wicket victory away at Earley.

Curt Watts top scored with 51 as Earley made 186 all out from 44.1 overs, while Atiq Javed claimed 3-35 for the hosts.

Shinfield reached their target after 45 overs, closing on 187-6 for the win with Fakhir Ali making 52. Steven Mapes took 2-39 for the away side.

Emmbrook & Bearwood 2nds put some distance between themselves and bottom-of-the-table Sandhurst 2nds with a crucial seven-wicket home win on Saturday.

Finley Hunt (2-10) and Alistair Fairhead (2-15) were the pick of the bowlers as Sandhurst were bowled out for 108 after 31 overs. Naz Rajlawat top scored with 30.

In response, Emmbrook 110-3 in 29 overs for the win with Matt Robertson unbeaten on 55. Simon Coxwell took figures of 2-46 for the visitors.
