Twyford Bowling Club enjoyed a great result playing at home against Wokingham ‘C’ in the Kennet League.

Twyford won on all four rinks led by Barry Carter (23-9), Brian Stain (27-11), Phil Rose (19-14), and Nick Orde (25-11).

Overall, Twyford won by 94 - 45 shots to claim all 14 points from the game.

  • Twyford ladies played three rinks of triples at Royal Household at Windsor.

At the midway point Twyford had inched ahead winning 25-22 but by the end Windsor had upped their game and won the match 48-32.

  • Twyford men travelled to Wokingham for in the KLV Division but lost on two of the three rinks.

Barry Carter won his match 20-16, but there were losses for Gordon Wheeler (25-6-) and Brian Stain (22-10). Twyford gained two points to Wokingham’s eight.

  • Twyford travelled to Southampton for six mixed triples.

At the halfway mark it was neck and neck with Twyford leading by one shot.

But Southampton proved too much and won 117-90.

It was the ladies who shone in the sun with top rink skipped by Tina Scherer 30-16, with good a back up from skip Ann Harris, 21-10.
