CAROL Chard claimed a fine win against Nigel Rowland to help Sonning Common & Peppard D to a 7-3 Reading & District League Division Two victory at Tilehurst Methodists A.

Matt Stone, Tim Raby and Matt Isherwood were all on top form as Sonning Common & Peppard C won 10-0 against Our Lady of Peace B, while hat-tricks from Nigel Maltby and Brian Meheux helped Sonning Common & Peppard B win 9-1 against Kingfisher F.

At the bottom, Pangbourne WMC battled back from 5-3 down to draw 5-5 with Tidmarsh C. John Simmonds and Clive Taylor both won twice for Pangbourne.

Sanket Dave’s maximum guided leaders Milestone B to a 6-4 win against Sonning Common & Peppard C – for whom Mark Jones won twice –in Division Three, while Sonning Sports A saw their promotion chances severely dented by a 6-4 defeat at Kingfisher G, despite a Paul Savage treble.

Milestone A boosted their chances of staying up by beating Kingfisher I 6-4, Arun Rajagopal with a maximum while Chris Collins won twice, Carol Byers doing the same for Kingfisher.

Chris West starred with a treble as Our Lady of Peace C held off Kingfisher J 6-4, while Rumen Rangelov, Igor Sremac and Willis Ma helped Kingfisher H beat Tilehurst Methodists B 7-3 to virtually assure their safety.

The Saiyan Brothers won 7-3 at Springfield B to remain clear at the top of Division Four, with Emma Blachford and Vidhu Ravinath both obtaining trebles.

Our Lady of Peace D maintained their promotion push by beating Tidmarsh D 9–1 with Binit Bhaskar, Abhay Gore and Hari Laddonuri all gaining maximums. Reading FC A and Our Lady of Peace E shared the spoils with a 5-5 draw. Adam Lawes did the business for OLOP by winning all three.

Curzon Club B gained two vital points by beating Kingfisher K 8–2, thanks mainly to Nick Lean and Geoff Johnson who both gained hat-tricks.

Curzon Club C beat bottom side Sonning Common & Peppard F 7–3, with Charlotte Binley winning all three for Curzon and Sonning Common's Derek Wavell collecting a double.

A Mark Edwards hat-trick helped Reading FC B draw 5-5 with Milestone C in Division Five.

Sonning Common & Peppard G beat Tidmarsh E 8-2, Mike Casserley and Gerry Bacon both recording maximums.

Tilehurst Methodists D beat fellow strugglers Kingfisher L 7-3, Steve Christelow recording his first maximum and Ryan Arch and Rob James their first doubles.

It was nip and tuck all evening as Springfield C clashed with Springfield D, the match ending 5-5, despite a treble for the D team’s Adrian Wegrzynowsk.

For the C team, Rob Atack and Chris Speight each won two while Tom Berryman won his crucial final set by beating Marcello Caramma 11-7 8-11 11-6 5-11 16-14.
