HIGHMOOR’S Ibis’s last ever game at Palmer Park proved to be something of an anti-climax as they were held to a 0-0 draw by basement boys Wokingham & Emmbrook in the Premier Division on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.
There were chances at both ends with Anthony White coming close for the hosts, while Jake Wheeler was twice near to winning it for Wokingham.
Elliott Rushforth had a glorious chance late on for Sumas but neither side could break the deadlock.
Highmoor’s final game of the season at Brimscombe & Thrupp was postponed on Monday due to a waterlogged pitch, meaning they currently sit 11th in the table.
That game will now be played next Wednesday (7.45pm).
Woodley United’s two-match winning run in Division One East came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to Henley Town on
Tuesday.
The hosts started well and took a 29th-minute lead courtesy of a Matt Lambert penalty, but two goals in three minutes shortly
after gave Henley the victory.
Ben Clark and Jack Thomson-Wheeler were on target for Town.
The result leaves Woodley at the foot of the table with one game remaining at home to second-bottom Old Woodstock Town. A win would take United level on points with the Oxfordshire side, whose goal difference is currently four better.
They end their campaign at home to Holyport on Saturday.
