A SURREY man has been charged in connection with an assault on a pensioner in Woodley.
Fred French, of Pear Tree Road, Ashford, was arrested last month and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) on Friday.
The charge relates to an incident assault where a 64-year-old man was allegedly attacked by a man wielding a paint-roller while trying to clean up graffiti on a pillar in Loddon Bridge Road underneath the A329M flyover at around 9.50pm on Thursday, June 19.
The 21-year-old has been bailed and will appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 18.
