A GOOD Samaritan who helped a schoolboy knocked down to the floor by a careless cyclist may hold crucial information.

The 12-year-old was thrown to the ground after being rammed by an enraged cyclist on Thursday, June 1.

He was waiting to cross the road at the junction Sagecroft Road and Northfield Road, opposite the Tesco Express.

A short Asian man on a bicycle began shouting at the young teenager to move out his way at 3.40pm.

The cyclist rammed into the boy knocking him to pavement before riding off towards the roundabout with Heath Lane and Bowling Green Road.

A mysterious woman parked in a small black car in the Tesco carpark went to see if she could help the victim.

She and other witnesses are being asked to come forward and call Pc Tara Hamilton on 101 quoting incident reference 43170159012.

The boy was not injured in the collision and nothing was stolen.

The cyclist is described as being in his 20s and around 5ft 4ins tall. He is slim and hand a light beard and moustache.

He was wearing glasses, a black hooded top with the hood over his head, brown trousers and a dark grey rucksack.

He was riding an old black bicycle.
