POLL cards for an upcoming referendum in Stratfield Mortimer are being reissued after a printing error gave the wrong date.
Residents in Stratfield Mortimer will take part in a referendum on whether or not to adopt a neighbourhood development plan for the village on Thursday, June 22.
However, West Berkshire Council was forced to reissue the cards after realising they contained incorrect details due to a printing error from an external company.
The poll cards give the wrong date for the referendum and contain the wrong information about the vote.
Voters are being advised to dispose of the old cards and to look out for the new pink ones, which are being sent out by first-class post this week.
A council spokesman said: "West Berkshire Council was not responsible for the error and the cost of re-issuing the poll cards will be met by the printers.
"However, we would like to apologise to residents in Stratfield Mortimer for the inconvenience caused by the error."
