Caversham's fire crew were called to Pell Street at 3.30am after a white car flipped onto its roof.
Watch manager Whiting said the police were already in attendance when the fire crew arrived.
He said: "The police were already there and the two occupants got out safely. I think the car was a Ford but it was hard to recognise upside down." The fire crew righted the car and returned the scene to the police.
