A CYCLIST was shoved into a hedge following an argument outside Piggott Junior School yesterday, prompting a police investigation.

The argument began around 8.30am in the morning after a woman parked her car outside the school in School Hill, Wargrave and became involved in a row with the man, said to be in his fifties or sixties.

At some point during the argument the cyclist was pushed off his bike and landed in a hedge.

PC Chris Harrison from Twyford police station said: “This incident was witnessed by a number of parents, children and school staff, many of whom were visibly distressed by what they saw. We will be stepping up our reassurance patrols in the area and I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to officers whilst they are out and about, or to call 101. We would like to trace the cyclist in order to check his welfare after this incident, so if anyone can help to identify him, please contact me as soon as possible.”
