A Woman was rescued by firefighters from a blaze in her Southcote flat last night.
The alarm was raised at around 10.30pm with firefighters from Caversham, Dee Road, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road being called to the fire in Granville Road.
The seventh floor flat was set alight after the woman fell asleep, leaving food on the hob.
She was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished by two firefighters using breathing apparatus.
