Delays and road closures on some of the town’s main roads will be coming to a close after weeks of effort to return Reading’s roads to reasonable standard.
This year’s programme will involve 27 minor roads and residential streets in partial and full closures from 8am to 5pm September 8 to 20, weather permitting.
Cllr Tony Page said: “This £368,000 investment in residential streets in Reading follows on from the £1 million already spent on the annual summer resurfacing programme on major roads.
“It brings the total investment by the council in better road surfaces for Reading’s residents and all road users to £1.38 million.”
Advance warnings will be in place a few days before each closure and residents in the immediate area will receive a letter outlining times and dates.
A full list of closures including dates and times can be found on the council’s website: www.
