REPAIRS on a collapsed sewer in Vastern Road will start tomorrow.
The works will be carried out by Thames Water and is set to close one lane outside the SSE building heading towards Reading Bridge from the TGI Friday's roundabout.
It is believed the repairs will take two weeks to complete.
Thames Water operations specialist Bob Cunningham said: “This is essential work to prevent residents and businesses in the area suffering the misery of sewer flooding.
"Thankfully it’s the school holidays so traffic flows tend to be lighter but we apologise for any disruption this work might cause.”
