A sex predator is being hunted by police after an assault on an Oxford bound train.

The incident happened at around 11.50pm as the train travelled between Reading and Cholsey on February 28.

A 27-year-old woman was touched inappropriately by a man on the train as she returned from the toilet.

PC Stephanie Barras said: “She was shocked by the incident and told a friend what had happened.”

Police believe the man boarded the train after arriving at Reading on a service from Waterloo and left the service at Cholsey shortly after midnight/

PC Barras said: “We work extremely hard to make sure the rail network is a safe place to travel.

“Tackling unwanted sexual behaviour is high on our list of priorities.

“We have spoken to several witnesses to this incident, but we need the public’s help to find the person responsible.”
