A BURGLAR has been jailed for raiding a west Reading home.
Michael Da Silva admitted burgling a home in Elm Park Road on Tuesday, June 24, this year and at Reading Crown Court yesterday he was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
The 32-year-old, of no fixed abode, was arrested in October.
Inspector Adrian Hall, of Reading CID, said: “The length of sentence imposed in this case, despite Da Silva’s guilty plea, proves that breaking into people’s homes will not be tolerated by the courts.
“Anyone thinking of taking part in this action should seriously consider whether they want to spend the next few years in prison.”
