A CYCLIST was found unconscious on the roadside after being knocked from his bike in a hit and run near Midgham yesterday evening.
The 29-year-old was knocked from his red bike after being struck by a vehicle on the A4 Bath Road opposite the Spire Ridge Boarding Kennels and Cattery between 6pm and 7.45pm.
A member of the public found the unconscious man at the side of the road and raised the alarm. The cyclist was taken to hospital and treated for fractured ribs and a fractured cheekbone, along with cuts and bruises.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision after the car failed to stop.
