TORRENTIAL rain has triggered flood alerts for rivers across Berkshire today (Monday).

The Environment Agency has issued "be prepared" warnings for a stretch of the Lower River Loddon from Hurst to Swallowfield, running through Arborfield, Shinfield, Sindlesham, Lower Earley, Woodley, Barkham and Winnersh.

There is also a warning for the Emm Brook running through Wokingham.

The Loddon Bridge Park and Ride is open, although bus stop two is shut.

The alerts comes as the county braces itself for even more rain with the Met Office warning of heavy downpours in the South East over the next couple of days.
