WILL the town get a White Christmas this year?
With just over a month to go, residents are currently battling through the piercing cold temperatures, the car de-icer is out and the big coats are on, but will we get a white Christmas?
The odds aren't looking great, but then again they didn't in 2010, when the last snowfall came on December 25.
One website, www.willigetawhitechristmas.com, ranks Reading's chances of a white Christmas at a measly 25%, meaning that a bit of a chill and a bit of frost on the road is more likely.
Bookmakers don't seem too confident of snowfall in the south, but in Scotland there are odds of 2/1 for a white Christmas in Glasgow.
Currently, the forecast in Reading for Christmas day is for showers and 11c temperatures.
