STAFF, residents, relatives and the nearby community came to enjoy an open day at Austen House.
Care home staff hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including live entertainment 'Step Back In Time' event in the Kilnsea Drive site's gardens.
Resident Hazel and her husband, said: “We thoroughly enjoyed it, we were surrounded by lots of great people, and the refreshments kept flowing.
"The weather held out until we finished. Staff did a great job, not just on the day, but organising the event and getting everyone together.”
Attendees of all different generations were treated to a variety of teas, homemade cakes and a scrumptious buffet.
Rozina Ali, general manager at the home, said: “Staff at Austen House are dedicated to making sure that the home is a hub of the local community, and this event, along with all their hard work, has definitely paid off.
"It was a resounding success.”
