Over 50 firefighters rushed to the scene of a fire last night (22/2) after a huge blaze broke out at the former Reading Evening Post building.
Nearby residents called Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue when they spotted billowing black smoke and flames coming from the building.
The fire service has announced that they received the call at 3:22pm on Thursday, February 22 about the fire on Tessa Road in Reading.
Pictures of the incident show multiple fire engines at the scene where the area was closed off to the public.
After fighting the fire, they remained on the scene for four hours to re-inspect the derelict building for damage that was caused.
