Two girls have been sexually assaulted in broad daylight as the police continue to search for the person in question.

At around 2pm and 2.15pm on October 28, the two 12-year-olds were in the play area opposite Chalfont Way in Lower Earley.

As they were playing, a man, who has been described to be around 25 to 30 years old, approached the duo and exposed himself.

As the girls sought help from those passing by, the accused ran off in an unknown direction.

He has been described as around 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, wearing a black beanie hat, black hoodie and jeans.

He also had an English accent.

Investigating officer PC Danielle Scott said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this exposure incident to please get in touch.

“There are a large number of exit points in the play area so I am particularly keen to know in which direction the offender left.

“I would also urge any nearby residents with CCTV cameras or video doorbells, or anyone with a dash-cam who was driving in the area at that time, to please check their recordings in case they have captured anything that might help our investigation.
