READING Rep Theatre has postponed a production due to concerns over the Omicron variant.
There are “difficult weeks ahead” with the NHS facing real pressure and the current Omicron-driven wave of Covid-19 spreading rapidly.
With fears of the new variant spreading in confined spaces, Reading Rep Theatre has taken the decision to reschedule a production.

Their upcoming production of Jekyll and Hyde has been postponed and will be put on "later this year".
A statement on their Facebook page said: "Sadly we have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming production of Jekyll and Hyde due to ongoing concern over the Omicron variant.

"The safety and wellbeing of our audiences and team is top priority and the current challenges of Covid amplify the risk of producing a show for a new venue like us.
"It is our aim to put this brilliant show on later this year and we shall keep you updated as soon as we have performance dates."
