REVELLERS are being warned to plan their journeys over the Reading Festival weekend.
Great Western Railway (GWR) is advising passengers to allow plenty of time for their journey, as a queuing system will be in place to help people travel safely.
Visitors to the festival can catch a shuttle bus from the North side or walk to the festival site via Vastern and Caversham Road.
Those returning home after the festival should allow at least two hours to get to their train from the festival venue if they have booked a ticket on a specific trains service.
If you miss your booked train due to arriving late you may have to purchase a further ticket to board a different service.
GWR is to run three additional trains in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday morning to take Reading Festival-goers home when the music ends.
The extra, early morning services will run as follows:
- 1.45am Reading to London Paddington, calling at: Twyford, Maidenhead, Slough, Hayes and Harlington and Ealing Broadway.
- 3.19am Reading to Paddington calling at: Twyford, Maidenhead, Slough, Hayes and Harlington and Ealing Broadway.
- 5.04am Reading to Redhill calling at: Wokingham, and station stops to Redhill.
