CROWDS gathered on the banks of the River Kennet on Saturday to celebrate the town's annual water festival.
Boaters moored up their prized possessions for residents to inspect while volunteers set up stalls and other activities.
Water Fest, which celebrated its 29th year this year, is Reading's way of showing off the Kennet canal and the historic hotspots on its towpath.
They include the Abbey Ruins, which had its grand re-opening on June 16 to coincide with Water Fest.
