Fire crews retrieve body from River Thames in early hours
FIREFIGHTERS retrieved a man's body from Sonning Lock in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were deployed at around 4.25am and a crew from Caversham Road responded to the water rescue incident.
The body was recovered from the River Thames, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification is yet to take place but next of kin has been informed.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
