POLICE would like to speak to the man in this CCTV image in connection with five sexual assaults.

Incidents ranging from November 11 to May 14 have seen five young women suffer, either by being touched inappropriately or by a man attempting to kiss them.

Investigating officers believe the sexual assaults are all linked and some of the victims are still being supported.

The most recent attack happened on London Street at around 3.20am, when a woman in her 20s was approached and touched inappropriately before she could push him away.

On November 11, at around 12.20pm a man started talking to another woman in her 20s on London Street.

He then touched her inappropriately and tried to kiss her.

On February 23 at around 10.15pm a man sat down next to the victim, a woman in her 20s, on a wall on Oxford Road, and began talking to her. He then attempted to kiss her and she pushed him away.

A man walked up to the victim, a 19-year-old woman, on Station Road, Earley on March 4 at around 10.10am.

He tapped her on the shoulder and engaged her in a short conversation before sexually assaulting her by striking her from behind.

On March 25 at around 11.10pm a man spoke to the victim, a woman in her 30s, on Wilton Road. He then touched her inappropriately over her clothing.

Investigating officer, detective constable Graham Ammundsen, of Reading police station, said: "Our enquiries into a number of sexual assaults in Reading and Earley are continuing and we now believe these incidents to be linked.

"I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the sexual assaults or who saw what happened to contact police.

"We are continuing our work reviewing CCTV footage and collecting statements to ensure we identify and locate the offender as soon as possible. We are also supporting and keeping the victims updated.

"As part of the investigation, I would also like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV images as he could have important information which could officers so I would like to appeal to him or anyone who recognises him to contact police.
