BROKEN glass and blood was spotted at the scene of a fight between two women in the town centre earlier this afternoon.

Police were called to St Mary's Butts at around 3.50pm after a dispute broke out.

Investigating officers believe the women know one another and anyone who witnessed the fight is being urged to call Thames Valley Police.

One eye-witness said: "I had just come out of the gym and there were two women going at each other outside Burger King.

"I think she had children because there were two kids stood by one of the women and they looked really upset.

"Once it had broken off one of them went inside the Broad Street Mall and you could see they had dripped blood all over the floor. It was disgusting.

"There was also glass smashed all over the floor outside of Burger King.

"Security came out and tried to talk to her, but she just walked past them. The children were stood outside Burger King with another woman."

As yet, no arrests have been made.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police added: "We were called to St Mary's Butts at 3.49pm to a report of a fight between two women.

"It is believed that the two women are known to each other.

"Police officers were deployed to the scene and are investigating the alleged fight.

"Anyone with information should call 101 and reference 907."
