BOWLS of noodles are being given out for free when a new Vietnamese restaurant opens next week.

On August 10 Pho will open on King's walk in Reading town centre.

To mark the occasion, hungry passers-by can pick up one bowl of free food from midday.

Pho was opened by British husband and wife team Stephen and Juliette Wall in Clerkenwell in London.

The idea came after they travelled the world and found themselves inspired by the street food in Vietnam – primarily the country’s national dish, pho.

Pho is the Vietnamese national dish, an aromatic, nutritious and delicious rice noodle soup served with a side plate of fresh herbs.

The restaurant's menu has gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options and everything is made fresh in-house every day.
