A MAN is set to appear before a crown court judge charged with a firearms offence after armed police raided a house last week.
Armed police stormed homes in High Wycombe town centre on Friday afternoon, arresting several people as part of an ongoing Reading-based investigation.
At least seven armed officers - one with a battering ram - and a dog were spotted entering a number of addresses.
Anthony Curtis, aged 36 years, will face a judge at Reading Crown Court in May charged with possession of an imitation firearm and aggravated burglary.
Curtis, of West Wycombe Road in High Wycombe, appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on May 8.
Andrew White, aged 49 years and of Greenlands, Lacey Green, Buckinghamshire, was also arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. He will appear at Reading Crown Court on the same date.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the charges were in connection with an incident on Salisbury Road, Reading, on March 25.
They added: "A 37 year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary has been released without charge.
"A 39 year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police has been released without charge."
