A CHARITY that gives gift bags to chemotherapy patients is holding a fundraising gig.
Chemogiftbags works across the Thames Valley delivering much needed essentials and luxuries to people with breast cancer.
Last year the charity gave out 120 care packages, which include a quilted blanket, wash bag, a heart shaped pillow and, amongst other things, a crossword book.
With each bag costing £50, the organisation is holding a fundraising gig at Smoking Billys at 5pm on March 30.
Charity worker and Woodley resident Lynne Shipton said: "We started up because people going through chemotherapy are going through difficult times.
"We wanted to let people know that others care.
"When we give people these bags, they realise they are not on their own. The smiles they have on their faces makes it all worthwhile."
The gig will be headlined by No Direction Hot Boys. Tickets costs £5.
