READING FC supporters are being warned to leave extra time to travel to the Emirates after a huge fuel spillage on the M4.
A stretch of the motorway near Chiswick has been closed since the early hours of this morning, with queues of traffic stretching back to Slough.
The spillage has badly affected all roads in the area after the Highways Agency shut the eastbound carriageway between junction 3 at Hayes and junction 1 at Chiswick.
Miles of traffic jams have since built up and all motorists heading to London, including Royals fans travelling to the Emirates for the EFL Cup clash against Arsenal tonight (7.45pm ko), are facing lengthy delays and diversions.

The damaged section of the M4 will be closed until at least 2pm today while resurfacing work is carried out, though the knock-on effect is likely to last several more hours.
Surrounding roads, including the M25, are already clogged up due to the accident.
A convey of Reading FC supporters coaches are due to depart Madejski Stadium at 3pm today, with more than 5,000 fans set to make the trip to north London.
Drivers are being advised to seek an alternative route to London via the M40 and A4.
