A MAN walked free from court after sharing revenge porn photos.

Tom Hibberd, of Holberton Road, pleaded guilty to one count of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress at Reading Crown Court on July 14.

The 26 year-old was ordered to pay £205 for sending the sexually explicit photos of a woman on November 21 last year.

PC David Hill, Investigating officer from Loddon valley police station, said: “I’m pleased that Hibberd has admitted responsibility for what he did and has been sentenced for his crime.

“So-called ‘revenge porn’ offences can have a devastating effect on the victim who often feels violated and humiliated by the actions of the offender. It will not be tolerated by Thames Valley Police and I would urge anyone who feels that they have been a victim of this crime to come forward and report it to police.

“As this case demonstrates, we will take action and bring those responsible to justice.”

Revenge porn is the sharing of private, sexual materials, either photos or videos, of another person without their consent and with the purpose of causing embarrassment or distress.

Those found guilty could face up to two years in prison.
