TRAINS between Reading and Didcot have been restarted after a woman was killed at Didcot Parkway station.
The woman was struck by a freight train close to Didcot Parkway at around 11am today and the line has since been closed.
Services between Reading and Didcot had been suspended but Network Rail has confirmed the lines are now open again.
Passengers are advised to check with their rail operator before their journeys.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "We received a report just after 11.05am today (3 December) of a woman being struck by a freight train near Didcot Parkway railway station.
"The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the line is currently closed. Officers are investigating the circumstances around what happened but at this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious."
