TESCO are keeping tight-lipped on the future of their two 24-hour stores in Reading following an announcement that opening times would be chopped to cut costs.

The company scrapped 24-hour opening at two stores across the country already, and it's believed that more could follow.

A spokesman for the company would not confirm or deny whether the 24-hour stores in both Portman Road and Napier Road will be affected.

The spokesman said: "We’re always thinking about how to best serve customers in each of our stores.

"Where there is a case to look at the opening hours of a store, we will do so, but any decisions will be made locally and our colleagues will be the first to know."

Tesco are yet to confirm which stores have already been cut.
