This is the face of a man police want to speak to about an attempted robbery of two teenagers.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, were in the town centre where they met another group of people who invited them back to a flat in London Street for drinks.

Once in the flat they were asked for money and were attacked when they refused to hand any over.

They then left the flat and flagged down a passing police car.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said both men suffered cuts and facial injuries and were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment.

"Five men aged 34, 44, 21, 19 and 39 and a 25-year-old woman, all from Reading were arrested in connection with the offence on July 30 – and were bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectove Constable Brian Simmonds said: “We are still keen to hear from anyone who can identify the man shown in this image or anyone who has any information which would help us with our enquiries."
