THE SEARCH is on for a missing man in the Thames Valley Business park area this afternoon.
Thames Valley Police have enlisted the help of Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue team, a group of volunteers who assist in rescue operations.
The group have been on the scene near to the River Thames from 5.30 pm, and were still there at 7pm.
They also called in backup from the Oxfordshire division, who were able to provide boats for a river search.
There is no description of the missing man as yet, but it’s believed he went missing from the nearby area earlier today.
A spokesman for the incident control unit said: “Our role is to assist Thames Valley Police for the search of high risk missing persons, I can confirm there is a missing man.
“We have been searching on land and in the water.”
