CENTRAL Reading has ground to a halt as thousands of revellers packup and head home from the three-day Reading Festival.
Roads around Caversham and central reading began to slow down as the bedraggled music fans packed up around 10am.
The A329 which circles central Reading, including the IDR is running very slow as is the A4, A34, Richfield Avenue and Cow Lane.
Routes away from the festival began to slow down as the festival goers left the campsite and are expected to remain busy for hours.
The Gosbrook Road, B3345 and Oxford Road are slowing down as motorists look for routes to beat the jam.

The misery on the roads is compounded by rail strikes from First Great Western across the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Extra shuttle services between Reading and London have been laid on by the train company but First Great Western is warning these will be busy.
Services from Reading to Gawick will run hourly and terminate at Redhill.
