Tinker, Tailor, Soldier or Sailor — pupils at Micklands Primary School had insights into what job they might like to pursue.
Representatives from a variety of professions gave presentations to classes about their job and how they got there and what they had to study on its first aspiration day.
Headteacher of the Micklands Road school, Sharon Jones, said they were able to tap into the wealth of talent of parents, govenors and former pupils of the school including middle distance runner, and Berkshire Sports personality of the Year award nominee, Chey Kemp.
Mrs Jones said: “It’s to make the children aware of the different occupations and options that there are for them and to aim high.
“The children have been really, really enthusiastic asking good questions. It was good for them to hear about what other people do.”
