Reading FC Women announced their second signing of the summer as Welsh defender Gemma Evans becomes a Royal.
After Bristol City's relegation from the Women's Super League last season, Evans has made the return to the top tier on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old links up with Kelly Chambers side after leaving the Vixens on the expiration of her contract. Evans spent the past three seasons with the Bristol outfit after spells with Yeovil Town and Cardiff City.

With 24 caps for Wales, the centre back will become the fifth Welsh player on the current ranks at Reading and keep a core tradition of Welsh dragons within the club's ranks.
Signing a contract until the summer of 2023, Evans will compete with Deanna Cooper and Kiera Skeels for the central defensive berth, the latter who partnered Evans in the backline while on loan with Bristol City last season.

Manager Chambers commented on the signing: "I’m delighted to bring Gemma to Reading. She is a player that I feel will really suit our style of play. She has shown great development over the last couple of seasons and more importantly, she is a consistent performer."
Evans becomes the second signing of the summer for Reading Women after the arrival of experienced striker Natasha Dowie last week.
