Results have not been good enough this season but ultimately he deserves more time to work with a squad that was only assembled late in the summer. #readingfc
Understand it’s a results business, but a little bit gutted. José Gomes brought that community feeling back to #readingfc at the end of last season more than anyone since Brian McDermott - including Stam in the play-off final year. Back to square one.

Going on record as saying that is an embarrassingly bad decision by @ReadingFC to move on from Jose Gomes. They’d better have something in the works because on the surface that is not the right decision.

We've not got Jose Gomes 😢

Was Jose Gomes even doing a bad job? Mid-table was the absolute highest we were realistically going to finish this season. Chris Hughton would be an ideal appointment and we could afford him, but wouldn’t surprised if Phil Parkinson finally got the job. #readingfc

You have to think that alienating Gunter and McCleary, the two longest serving players in the dressing room, will have played a part in the poor form and subsequent (reported) sacking of Jose Gomes - still, disappointing to see another manager leave #readingfc
