Reading FC striker Yakou Meite is on the hunt for a young fan who sent him a letter and photo before the Blackburn game, after the eight-year-old asked for a photo with the striker who he called his favourite player.
Meite took to Twitter yesterday, pleading to find the young lad.
His message proved successful when the dad of the son replied to Meite.
What followed was a heartfelt exchange between Meite and Colin Greenwood with the Reading forward insisting on meeting Cody after the Preston game on October 19:
Hi twitter and @ReadingFC i need you help! It wasn’t the result we wanted yesterday of corse.. but at the end of the game i didn’t find the little boy who sent me this message.. so if you can find him i got something for him 😌👍🏾 pic.twitter.com/mio2VsCJ1t

Hi I'm the boys Dad Colin, thanks for looking for him (Cody) on Saturday, we stayed for a while but had to leave for his Birthday party. Cody was sure you was going to score but maybe next time.....
