Reading fans voiced their views on Twitter after the Royals' narrow 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Jose Gomes' side had their chances to at least force a point but were undone by Marvin Johnson's cross-cum-shot in the second half.
Boro keeper Darren Randolph made two brilliant saves late on to thwart Reading's bid for a point and send them back to Berkshire without a point.
Royals supporters took to Twitter to air their opinions on the defeat:
It takes time as well as money, but my mind is set on Gomes! He’s the man for the job. @TheTilehurstEnd interview with him was brilliant - essential listening folks! 👌⚽️👍#KeepUsUpGomes#TakeUsUpGomes#ReadingFC

We live in an age of football where two consecutive losses (largely considered undeserved) after a vast improvement in play has people discussing a manager's position. He got things wrong but he can't finish the chances himself. Calm down lads, we go again next week. #ReadingFC

This shows how well we’re doing. Yes the aim is putting the ball in the net but we are doing everything possible bar scoring. Massive improvement over the last couple of years. We will get there #readingfc https://t.co/X2CK3TdItm

If we do have a bad season (mid table or lower mid table) we MUST stick by Gomes unless we’re in a serious relegation battle. We’re never going to get anywhere by constantly changing the manager. We need stability for a couple of seasons. #readingfc

Of course José Gomes is not immune to criticism, but it is important to remember how far he has taken us and how he has transformed the club. That was only the 5th league game in the new formation so there will naturally be teething problems. Stick with him. URZ 🔵⚪️ #readingfc pic.twitter.com/nEUxaq9CBV
