A Reading FC supporter has won a luxury cruise holiday to the Caribbean and Mexico after entering a competition run through the club's partnership with travel company Cruise2.

Darryl King, from Basingstoke, was announced as the winner during half-time of Reading's home match against Notts County at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The competition was launched through Reading FC's supporter channels and invited fans to sign up to receive news and offers from Cruise2, the club's official cruise agency partner for the 2026/27 season.

King's prize includes an all-inclusive holiday for two aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Breakaway. The trip features a western Caribbean and Mexico cruise, along with a stay in New Orleans.

The package also includes a cooking demonstration at the New Orleans School of Cooking and a guided food tour of the city's historic French Quarter.

Cruise2 founder and managing director Chander Prakash said he was delighted to see one of Reading's supporters claim the prize.

He said: "It was brilliant to work alongside Norwegian Cruise Line and the New Orleans Tourist Board to give Darryl this fantastic cruise holiday.

"This is exactly what we want to achieve through our partnership, creating memorable experiences and showing local people the variety of cruise holidays available."

Reading FC co-chief executive Joe Jacobson said the competition demonstrated how the club's commercial partnerships can benefit supporters.

He said: "It's a fantastic prize and I'm delighted that one of our fans will get to enjoy such a memorable experience.

"Cruise2 have really embraced the partnership, combining their presence across the club with some brilliant opportunities and experiences for our supporters."

Cruise2 is also offering Reading supporters a £187.10 discount on cruise bookings throughout the season, referencing the year the club was founded in 1871.

The travel company will continue to have a presence at Royals home matches through supporter events, competitions and matchday promotions.
