WOKINGHAM and Finchampstead ended their Home Counties Premier Cricket League season on a disappointing note, both crashing to three-figure defeats last Saturday.
The Oaks went down by 106 runs to Aston Rowant, while Finchampstead lost by 179 runs at Banbury, which saw them leapfrog their visitors into third place.
Wokingham finished one rung above the relegation zone with their total of 191 points leaving them 13 points ahead of Slough, who go down with Great Brickhill.
Aston posted a useful 50-over total of 297-9. The Oaks slumped from 154-4 to 191 with Shaan Khan top-scoring on 59, followed by Anthony Clapham with 31, Sukhi Kang 28 not out and Danny Housego 23.
Finchampstead were never in the hunt at Banbury after the hosts had racked up a formidable 313-8. Opener Lloyd Sabin, the league's leading run scorer this year, contributed 102.
Lewis Sharp finished with 4-71, while Jed Crerar claimed three catches and a stumping to leave him the most successful wicketkeeper in the league this season with 37 catches, nine stumpings and a run out.
Finchampstead were dismissed for just 134, their main contributors being Eddie Campion with 27, Sam Seecharan 26, James Woodford 23 and Tommie Predgen 22.
Dan Marles has stepped down as first-team captain and is set to be succeeded by young Eddie Campion.
Slough and Great Brickhill will be replaced by Division 2 champions Datchet and runners-up Gerrards Cross, with Oxford third and Wargrave fourth.
Wargrave completed their Home Counties Premier League fixtures with a shock defeat by relegated Chesham, who had been deducted 96 points by the league and lost their Division 2 place along with Challow & Childrey.
The visitors made 231-6 (Daksh Sabherwal 72, Dan Ward 69) and then shot out Wargrave for 148 in 34 overs to secure an 83-run victory. Rob Farina top-scored for the hosts with 40, followed by Andy MacEwen with 29, Issac Humphrey 26 and Jay Barson 26 not out.
* Reading completed a disappointing season in the Thames Valley League with an 86-run victory at Stoke Green 2nd.
They posted a useful 50-over total of 276-5, with Praful Waghela scoring 95 off 88 balls and Arjun Srinivasan 67, the pair adding 142 for the third wicket.
Waghela, just missing out on a fourth century, scored 960 runs this year, averaging 73.85.
Stoke Green slumped from 94-0 to 136-6, and were all out for 190 in the 42nd over.
The Sonning Lane club finished sixth in the Division 1B final placings, whilst Stoke Green joined Sonning and Marlow in the relegation places.
Sonning were dismissed for 80 after being 46-2 and 80-6, and lost by 91 runs at home to Hayes, who were 171 all out, with Mo Zahid taking 4-26 as he followed up his score of 28.
Prashant Kumar took 4-4 and Kunal Roy 3-8.
