Reading boss Ruben Selles has admitted that he has 'a decision to make' over which goalkeeper to choose for tomorrow's trip to Bolton Wanderers.
Number one Joel Pereira suffered a twisted ankle and will be missing until the second half of October, leaving David Button and Coniah Boyce-Clarke battling it out for the starting spot.
Youngster Boyce-Clarke was given the nod last week but his individual blunder led to Leyton Orient scoring the only goal of the game and coming in for some scrutiny from supporters.
However, Button was first-choice for most of last season and also made some high-profile errors which cost the Royals points, particularly in their tricky start which saw the team 10 points adrift of safety at one stage.
Speaking ahead of a trip to the Toughsheet Community Stadium to face an out-of-form, yet dangerous, Trotters side, Selles said: "Obviously, we have a decision to make. Things happen when you change a goalkeeper and it was an unfortunate action that happens to other players, but in the goalkeeper position, it is a little bit more difficult to accept because occasionally it ends up in our goal.
"Now David is back and fully fit, as with some other positions, we need to make a decision for the weekend."
