A former cult favourite at Reading- Alex Fernandez- wished his former club well for the season on social media.
The 31-year-old midfielder played 10 times for the Royals on loan in 2015/16, scoring once, but is a fan's favourite due to his love for the club and supporters.
Despite having little impact on the field, the former Real Madrid youngster still interacts with supporters on social media and speaks highly of his time at the club.
On this occasion, the club picked his solitary goal for Reading (a long-range strike against Huddersfield Town from 2016) as their Goal of the Day.

Responding, Fernandez said: "I wish you all the best for this season. See you soon Royals, you are the best."
It was a landmark month for the midfielder- moving into the top 15 appearance makers in the history of Cadiz.
Moving to the club in 2017, he has racked up 245 appearances across the top two divisions of Spanish football.
His elder brother Nacho Fernandez has made over 360 appearances for Real Madrid, lifting six Champions League titles and four La Liga crowns.
