Championship goal-scoring star Jahmari Clarke is among nine Under-21s released by Reading at the end of the season.

20-year-old Clarke, who never made an appearance under Ruben Selles and had two loan spells away from the club this season, shot to fame when coming off the bench to score a brace in a 2-1 win over Birmingham City in 2021.

The Jamaican Under-20 international failed to score again and departs with 14 Royals appearances.

Hamid Abdel-Salam; Billie Clark; Harvey Collins; Ajani Giscombe; Geneiro Maragh; Harvey Maudner; Sam Paul and Ben Purcell have also been let go after becoming regulars for Noel Hunt's Under-21 outfit.

Jacob Borgnis; John Clarke; Jeremiah Okine-Peters; John Ryan and Charlie Wellens have had an extra year triggered in their contracts.

Promising forwards Adrian Akande and Basil Tuma have been offered new deals and are currently considering their options, as are Matthew Rowley; Jay Senga-Ngoyi and Michael Stickland.

Tyler Field; Matthew Goulding; William Gutierrez-Ramirez; Jayden Porter-Atkinson; Jack Timberlake and Aaron White have all been released from the Under-18s.
