The English Football League have confirmed that fixture release day for 2024/25 is on Wednesday, June 26.

Always a key date in the calendar for supporters, it marks the beginning of the new campaign as hope and expectation builds for a promotion push in the forthcoming season.

From the opening day to the final day, with Boxing Day and Easter weekend chucked in for good measure, supporters can finally start to plan for their new nine-month journey around the country following their club.

Revealed at 9am, it leaves almost a month and a half for Ruben Selles and his squad to prepare for the new season, which gets underway on the weekend of August 10-11.

The EFL announced just over a year ago that it had signed a contract worth a total of £935million with the broadcaster to start in 2024-25 and run to the end of the 2028-29 season.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that each Championship club will be featured on either one of Sky’s regular sports channels or its new Sky Sports+ platform a minimum of 24 times, with those in Leagues One and Two appearing at least 20 times.
