Almost 1,700 Reading fans crammed into the away end at the Pirelli Stadium for the final away match of the season on Saturday, a 3-2 defeat at Burton Albion.
Increasing by nearly 400 per match on average from last season, the away support has gone from strength to strength despite relegation from the Championship and four victories on the road all season.
