Reading ended their away campaign with a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Burton Albion.

Take a look at Ruben Selles' reaction below.

Ruben on the match

"It was a poor first half from us where the opponent pushed us with some direct balls and we made a couple of mistakes for the first two goals. We got back into the game and scored to make it 2-1 which we thought would give us some energy for the game and momentum. The third goal was a disappointing moment for us. In the second half, we tried to win the game and scored the second. We kept it in the box but they managed to keep the score. I’m a little disappointed, especially with the first half.

Ruben on motivation

"I think the situation from both teams was different and they had their own motivation but we also knew it was going to be a tough game for us because they were playing to survive. They did their job and I think we had a couple of moments where we lost our application and conceded a couple of goals. At the same time, we were competitive. I have nothing more to say to my boys other than we needed to start better.

Ruben on away record being an issue

"I don’t think so. It was an issue at the beginning of the season but I don’t think it has been an issue after the first eight games. I think we have been playing consistently and putting performances together. We have been pretty decent since November. I know it’s another away defeat but it’s a different context.

Ruben on Blackpool test

"We know it is going to be a tough game and we need to be ready for that. We have a couple of days off now and then we need to be ready to work and make a good game plan and attempt a good performance in front of our home fans to close the season in the way we deserve to close the season.

We need to go home and have a game where we are ourselves and our application is good from the very beginning. We need a better version of ourselves for the last game.

Ruben on Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan limping

"Kelvin is alright. Things happen in these kinds of games. A part of the journey is to learn how to play those games. I think Kelvin learnt it today."
